[National Museum of Banat, Maria Therezia Bastion, Timișoara, Romania]

September 19 to 21, 2023

The objective of this Case Study was to combine and apply all three ENDLESS Metal tools and the skills we obtained during the CIG to a real collection. The investigated objects are part of the Collection of the Museum of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Timisoara; they are religious objects, mainly composed of silver or copper alloys and often coated with silver or gilding layers.

During the three days team members, divided in smaller groups according to their specific expertise, worked with MiCorr, DiscoveryMat and Pleco, with each tool providing an important piece of the puzzle. They were able to optimise the tools, analyse and diagnose several objects and thus validate the ENDLESS Metal approach.
