COST Association training on How to prepare a business plan for CIG grantees

June 29-30, 2023

___________________________________________________________

At the end of June, COST Association organised training on how to prepare a business plan, which is one of the necessary outcomes of CIG projects. The training was aimed mainly at CIG Chairs and Vice-Chairs, but also welcomed other project team members. The objectives of the training were to familiarise the participants with the business model canvas and support tools (e.g. value proposition canvas, customer personas canvas, channel implementation canvas) and help them understand how to change from idea to business concept, key terminology and concepts within the context and the key points for business development in Europe.

The training, which will be followed by one-on-one coaching sessions, was a valuable resource, particularly for researchers who are typically unfamiliar with the business context and therefore assisted the project team greatly in understanding what it takes to turn a novel idea into a successful business. The training was attended by Christian Degrigny, Eva Menart and Razvan Gavrila, along with representatives of four other CIG projects.
